If you have art to submit to us for your project, please follow the following guidelines:
SLIDES AND PRINTS Scan and save at a resolution of 300 dpi in uncompressed TIFF format.
DIGITAL PHOTOS
OR IMAGES CREATED WITH A DRAWING PROGRAM Save at a resolution of 300 dpi in uncompressed TIFF format. If JPEGs are the only available file type, save them at the lowest possible compression, which will result in the highest possible resolution and the best quality.
LINE ART (ONE-COLOR DRAWINGS) Save at a resolution of 1200 dpi EPS to retain a transparent background. For scanned line art, save at a resolution of 1200 dpi in compressed TIFF format. Compression in TIFF format maintains all the data in an image. Compression in JPEG format loses some of the data in an image.
ELECTRONIC FILE TRANSFER If electronic files are too large for an e-mail attachment, you can use our password-protected FTP (File Transfer Protocol) site—a Web-based "holding" area, which may be accessed through an FTP program (such as WS_FTP Pro) or your Web browser. If you need this service, we will provide complete instructions and a password.
