When you request our editing services, we will ask you for 5 pages of your manuscript and then provide a free editing sample to ensure that the level of editing is acceptable. On the estimate checklist, you will choose from the following editing options:
On the estimate checklist, you will also be asked to choose how you want the edits conveyed: On paper using traditional editing marks We can print out a copy of your manuscript and mark the edits with a colored pen. Please note that these edits will then have to be incorporated into your electronic file by either you or us. In Microsoft Word using the "Track Changes" feature If your text is in Microsoft Word, our suggested edits will be entered using the "Track Changes" feature so you can review them. In Adobe PDF format for viewing only Your existing file format will be converted to Adobe PDF, and our suggested edits will be marked up using the Adobe PDF editing tools. You will be responsible for making the changes in your text file. In Adobe PDF format and then in Microsoft Word Your existing file format will be converted to Adobe PDF, and our suggested edits will be marked up using the Adobe PDF editing tools. You will review and approve the edits as shown in the PDF file, and we will enter the approved edits into the Microsoft Word file for you. |
