Are you a new customer?

If you are a new customer, please follow this procedure to create a new account:

  Select YOUR ACCOUNT at the top right side of the screen.

  Under "New Customer," select "Continue" and provide the requested information, making sure to fill in all of the required bold fields.

  Select "Create Account and Continue Checkout" at the bottom of that page.

  Once you are signed in, you can view the contents of your Shopping Cart at any time by selecting SHOPPING CART at the top right side of the screen.

Are you a returning customer?

If you are a returning customer, please follow this procedure to sign into your existing account:

  Select YOUR ACCOUNT at the top right side of the screen.

  Under "Returning Customer," enter your e-mail address and password, and then select "Sign In."

  Once you are signed in, you can view the contents of your Shopping Cart at any time by selecting SHOPPING CART at the top right side of the screen.

If you prefer to pay by personal check instead of a credit card, please contact us via e-mail or call 650-355-4640 (PST) and we'll let you know the total amount of your order. When we receive your check (payable to BACKSPACE INK), we will ship your selected items.

Are you ready to place your order?

If you are ready to place an order, please follow this procedure:

  Sign in or create a new account by following the procedure for NEW CUSTOMER? or RETURNING CUSTOMER? (above).

  Use any of the ORDER buttons on the right side of the product screens to place items in your Shopping Cart.

  When you are finished shopping and want to place your order, select SHOPPING CART at the top right side of the screen.

  Once you are satisfied with the contents of your Shopping Cart, select "Check Out" at the bottom of that page, which will bring you to the "Delivery Information" page.

  Select your desired shipping method and then "Continue," which will bring you to the "Confirm Order" page.

  Go down to the bottom of the page and select "Place Order."

  Once you've placed your order, we will send you an e-mail entitled "Backspace Ink/TAE Gallery Customer Confirmation Request."

  Once you receive this e-mail, please reply to it or call 650-355-4640 (PST) if you have questions.

  Once you've confirmed your order, we will ship it via the shipping method you've selected.

  We will charge your credit card after we ship your order, at which time you will receive a confirmation e-mail entitled "Backspace Ink/TAE Gallery Customer Purchase Confirmation."

Do you want to change your order?

If you want to change your order, please follow this procedure:

  Sign in or create a new account by following the procedure for NEW CUSTOMER? or RETURNING CUSTOMER? (above).

  Once you are signed in, you can view the contents of your Shopping Cart at any time by selecting SHOPPING CART at the top right side of the screen. You can then delete unwanted items in your Shopping Cart.

  Alternatively, if you are on the "Confirm Order" page, go down to the bottom of the page and select "Change Order," which will take you back to the Shopping Cart where you can delete unwanted items in your Shopping Cart.

Are you unsure about your order?

If you've selected items to purchase but still have questions, we can hold and save your order before it's processed. Please follow the following procedure if you're unsure about your order:

  Sign in or create a new account by following the procedure for NEW CUSTOMER? or RETURNING CUSTOMER? (above).

  Use any of the ORDER buttons on the right side of the product screens to place items in your Shopping Cart.

  When you are finished shopping and want to place your order, select SHOPPING CART at the top right side of the screen.

  Once you are satisfied with the contents of your Shopping Cart, select "Check Out" at the bottom of that page, which will bring you to the "Delivery Information" page.

  Select your desired shipping method and then "Continue," which will bring you to the "Confirm Order" page.

  Go down to the bottom of the page and check the white box to the left of where it says "UNSURE ABOUT YOUR ORDER?" and then select "Place Order."

  Once you've placed your order, we will send you an e-mail entitled "Backspace Ink/TAE Gallery Provisional Order Confirmation Request."

  Once you receive this e-mail, please reply to it or call 650-355-4640 (PST) if you have questions.

  Once you've confirmed your order, we will ship it via the shipping method you've selected.

  We will charge your credit card after we ship your order, at which time you will receive a confirmation e-mail entitled "Backspace Ink/TAE Gallery Customer Purchase Confirmation."

Do you want a special order?

If you are interested in a special order for our artwork and/or photographs, such as different frames (other than black sectional frames) or image sizes, or a different finish (other than glossy), please contact us via e-mail or call 650-355-4640 (PST).

Special orders will not be credited, refunded, or exchanged unless we have sent you the wrong items, if the items are defective, or if the items have been damaged during shipping (see RETURN POLICY (below)).

Acrylic versus glass for our artwork and photography

For our photographs and artwork, we use 3/32" thick, glare- and shatter-resistant acrylic (instead of glass) with a matte finish. To clean the acrylic, use only plastic cleaners; do not use any cleaner that contains abrasives, solvents, ammonia, or undiluted alcohol. Use a clean, soft cloth and never use a paper towel. Proper cleaning will help protect the beauty of your plastic.

If you prefer glass for your order, which is heavier and more liable to break, there will be an additional shipping cost to be determined depending on weight and selected method of shipment. We will not be responsible for any damage incurred during shipping. If possible, we encourage you to pick up (in Pacifica, California) any orders that use glass.

Shipping options

We offer several shipping options, including 1st Class Mail, Federal Express (including insurance), United Parcel Service (including insurance), and pick up (in Pacifica, California). The available options for the products you've selected will be displayed on the "Delivery Information" page.

Delivery

Once you've confirmed your order, and we have received either your approved credit card information or personal check, we will ship it via the shipping method you've selected. If there is any delay in processing your order, we will contact you immediately.

Return policy: Did WE make a mistake on your order?

If we made a mistake on your order, a refund, a credit, or an exchange will be given and returns will be accepted for the following situations only:

  If we sent you the wrong items;
  If the items are defective; or
  If the items have been damaged during shipping.

Please contact us via e-mail or call 650-355-4640 (PST) within 5 business days after you have received the incorrect, defective, or damaged merchandise in order to receive the refund, credit, or exchange.

You will be responsible for the cost of returning the incorrect, defective, or damaged merchandise to us. Once we receive the returned items, we will issue a refund, a credit, or an exchange, excluding the cost of returning the incorrect, defective, or damaged items.
