How would you like to print your book?

There are several ways to receive a printed version of your book, including:

• Offset printing (many copies)

• One copy at a time (“print on demand” or “POD”)

What are the benefits of print on demand?

With POD, you never again have to face unsold and moldy boxes of books in your garage!

These are some of the possible benefits when choosing POD vendors:

• Ability to print one or more copies for you or your customers

• Ability to update content at any time and as many times as you wish

• No publishing company required

• No merchant account required for credit card sales 

• No excess inventory to store

• Free Web page, including a picture of the book cover, a description, and an author bio

• Link from your website to the free Web page

• Free ISBN number and barcode

• Royalties sent to you

Working with the printing vendor

• Although we do not endorse specific offset or POD vendors, we can make suggestions to help you choose one.

• Once selected, you will pay and work directly with the printing vendor; however, if you would like us to work with them on your behalf, we will charge a consulting fee for that service.

• We will set up (or help you set up) a printing account, including choosing the BASICs category label.

• We will obtain an ISBN number for the outside back cover and interior copyright page.

• If you require one, we will obtain a Library of Congress number for the interior copyright page.

• Final approved interior and cover PDF files will be uploaded to the printing vendor for their review.

• We will manage all communication from the printing vendor, including review of proofs.

• We will submit revised files to the printing vendor until they are approved.

• All expenses will be paid by you directly to the printing vendor, the ISBN vendor, and the Library of Congress.
